FAMILY NIGHTS
Family nights include a quick pizza supper together and then an activity for families to enjoy. We use our Fellowship Hall and our gym for a variety of fun activities that our families can do together. Family nights are normally held on the third Saturdays of the month from 5:00 - 6:45 p.m. This is a great environment for families to join together and get to know other families in the congregation. Our activities end in time for families to attend worship at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.
SPECIAL FAMILY EVENTS
Our Board of Family Life schedules different events throughout the year for families to partake in. Some of these events include a picnic in the summer at Jack Lake, a fall picnic at City Park, Christmas Caroling, a New Year's Eve family party, Father and Son Camp out, a Family Camping trip and a variety of other events through out the year.
PARENTING AND MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT CLASSES
Peace offers courses throughout the year to help parents with different needs they may have as parents. Content includes sound Biblical teaching as well as practical hands on tools they need.
THE FAITH LEGACY SERIES
Starting with the birth of their child, parents have the responsibility and the privilege to raise their child to have faith in Jesus Christ. Passing on the legacy of faith is the most important thing Christian parents can pass on to their children. Peace offers a series of 3 week classes that equip parents to share their faith with their children in their home. The series is based on these three week classes offered for parents of new borns (Baptism and Faith Chest), parents of 2 year olds (Picture Bible), 4 year olds (Worship Kit), 6 year olds (Towel and Basin - serving) and 8 year olds (First study Bible).
"WET CEMENT" CLASSES
These classes include parents and children and are held at times in life when parents can use a little help in parenting. Currently we offer classes for third graders and their parents in a class called, "Walk Through the Bible". At the end of this three week course the third graders are given an ADVENTURE BIBLE in the church service. This course helps the parents to use the Bible in their home.
A class is also offered for students in 7th grade and their parents. This class is called, "Surviving Adolescence". The middle school years can be a difficult time for families. We offer some tools for communication and boundaries in this course.
Other courses are in the process of development.
